Request for Bookstore Voucher

    To request a book voucher, please complete the information below.

    Remember:
    • A bookstore voucher can only be requested if you have a current credit balance or your books are covered by a Third-Party Payer. If getting Financial Aid, the aid will have to have been accepted before applying for the book voucher.
    • Credit balance amounts can be found in Transact (accessed through the RU portal.) Credit balances are reflected with a negative sign (-) in front of the Current Balance.
    • Students can request a book voucher for a maximum of $1,500.
    • Please check the Rockhurst bookstore website and attach a screenshot of the total cost of your books, including taxes. Please budget for “new” books just in case used are not available. 
    • Vouchers cannot be requested after the semester drop/add period and can be used through that Friday.
    • If your books are covered by a Third-Party payer, you may not have a credit balance. Please be sure to complete the Third-Party Notification Form and we will confirm your book voucher eligibility.

    Please be sure to only request the amount needed. Your approved voucher amount will be added as a charge to your student account. Any unused portion of your voucher will be credited back to your student account by mid-semester.

    Go to Transact to find your balance for the current term. Your current balance should have a negative sign in front of the amount.
    You can request up to the credit amount in a voucher from the bookstore (no more than $1,500).
