Video Submission Expectations

Video Submission Guidelines

• Prompt: Tell us a story of someone in your life who inspires you to be courageous as a leader.
• Length: Keep your video between 1–3 minutes long.
• Orientation: Vertical (9:16)
• Resolution: Minimum 720p, 1080p preferred for best quality.
• Lighting & Audio: Record in a well-lit area with minimal background noise.
• Device: Smartphone or digital camera, as long as the final output matches the above guidelines.
• File format: MP4 or MOV preferred.
• File name: Label your file as LastName_FirstName; this should match your first and last name from your submission form

Tips for a Strong Submission

• Tell a clear, personal story that connects with the prompt.
• Speak directly to the camera and let your personality shine!
• Keep it authentic and respectful.
• Practice before recording the final version.
• Double-check that your video plays all the way through before submission.

Terms & Conditions

• The scholarship is redeemable only after enrollment at Rockhurst University and may be applied solely towards tuition or on-campus housing. It is not transferable or redeemable for cash.
• The scholarship may be combined with merit-based scholarships, but the total value will be applied as a discount and not issued in currency.
• This scholarship is not available to students referred through a channel partner or agent that is eligible to receive a commission on the student's enrollment.
• Videos submitted via the RU Global Creator Challenge may be used in social media and other promotional materials.
