Media Release

I hereby give Rockhurst University the absolute and irrevocable right and permission to use and/or publish, without charge or compensation to me, with respect to my picture, portrait, likeness, and voice, and any text, photograph, video image, video footage and any music or audio recording in all forms and in all media, including in film or digital media, without any restriction as to changes or alteration (including, but not limited to, composite or distorted representations or derivative works made in any medium) for: (1) its advertising or any promotional materials; and (2) future publications by Rockhurst University and/or any third party.  I waive any right to inspect or approve the photograph, film footage, or finished version thereof incorporating the photograph or film footage, including written copy that may be created and appear in connection therewith.  I agree that if Rockhurst University creates the materials in which I appear, then Rockhurst University owns the copyright in these photographs, video footage, and recordings.  I hereby waive any claim for invasion of privacy, slander, libel, or any other claim based on the use of the above-described material(s).

I understand that the picture, portrait, likeness, voice, text, photograph, video image, video footage, and any music or audio recording may be used in publications, including electronic publications, audiovisual presentations, promotional literature, advertising, or in other formats such as (e.g. radio, television, magazines, newspapers, video, CD-ROM, the Internet, and social media, but not limited to these examples).

I hereby release and agree to hold harmless Rockhurst University and its faculty, employees, trustees, and agents from any and all claims and demands arising out of or in connection with the use of the photographs, including any and all claims for libel, or any liability by virtue of any blurring, distortion, alteration, optical illusion, or use in composite form whether intentional or otherwise that may occur or be produced in any processing tending toward the completion of the finished product, unless it can be shown that the publication, public display, or video upload was maliciously caused, produced, and published solely for the purpose of subjecting me to conspicuous ridicule, scandal, reproach, scorn, and indignity.
