Master of Education (M.Ed.) - Seconday Education (Online)

The Rockhurst University online Master of Education prepares educators with a solid background in their chosen field of study who are knowledgeable and competent in the craft of teaching and who bring well-informed perspectives to bear on educational policies and practices.

Master of Education (M.Ed.) - Curriculum, Teaching & Assessment (Online)

Students earning a masters in education will analyze alternatives in curricula, evaluate teaching methodologies and assessment strategies and consider the implications of such alternatives for a multicultural society. This education masters program provides rigorous coursework, varied field experiences, and service-learning projects.

Master of Education (M.Ed.) - Special Education (Hybrid)

The Special Education concentration (includes online classes and on-campus) is designed to provide educators with the knowledge and skills needed to work effectively with students having mild to moderate cross-categorical disabilities. Students in this concentration area spend a significant amount of time in diverse school settings during the day.

This program supports the professional development of teachers for newer STEAM initiatives and innovations in education.

Master of Education (M.Ed.) - Teacher Leadership (Online)

This program is great preparation for our Ed.D. in Education and Leadership program, which could be completed within an additional 2 years. The curriculum includes courses such as Educational Leadership, Assessment, Technology Leadership, Policy, Ethics, and Legal Frameworks in Education, Organizational Behavior, and Organizational Change. Students will have the opportunity to design and complete an action research capstone project (with mentoring) relevant to their personal and professional development goals.
